Thank you for visiting and we are glad to share this INTERACTIVE report prepared by the Farmers' Independent Research of Seed Technologies (FIRST) program. The report describes how a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) instrument was installed on a plot combine used in the 2023 FIRST Minnesota trials soybean plots. The protein detection using the on-combine NIR instrument was compared to laboratory measurements of grain samples.
